When I had first used my mother’s laptop to create a video for YouTube when I was only twelve years old, I realized that I had a passion for something that was far beyond me. As I grew up, my love for creating videos for the internet started to become a stronger passion, leading me towards the will to create content that would be impacting the world in a big way.
I was raised a Christian, and my love for Christ has been unwavering. As my skill increased behind the screen, I began to understand where I belonged as a creator. I was directed to Moody Bible Institute and its Communications program, where I began to progress in my knowledge with the Adobe Suite and moved on to work alongside film crews both on and off campus.
When I first started out with Adobe, my director at the time had told me to learn Premiere (which I hadn't touched yet) in a week, or I wouldn't be part of the team. Within five days, I had learned and understood the software to a degree that I could do professional work. Previous experience with Sony products certainly helped, but this was uncharted territory at the time. It was this moment that told me that I had a place and a reason for doing what I do. I had a talent for it, and applying what I knew to a team setting was just the thing I needed to kick off of the ground and start exploring new ways to use my skills for telling fantastic stories and bringing people together in ways never before thought possible.
That desire for growth and learning has now led to multiple opportunities in the radio, film, and advertising industries, including hosting a morning show, producing an audio drama, working on Potentially Dangerous, and making advertisements for ZenB.
My desire to improve has not slowed down and only continues to gain momentum.
